December 9, 2024 – TCU and BRC announced that their members have voted to ratify their respective Agreements with the National Carriers Conference Committee (NCCC), which mirror the five (5) year agreements reached earlier this year with CSXT, Norfolk Southern, and BNSF. These agreements provide 17.5% general wage increases (18.77 compounded). These are the largest wage increases achieved outside of a Presidential Emergency Board in decades. Members will also see significant health and welfare benefits improvements, with no change to the monthly contribution. In addition, this agreement provides accelerated vacation benefits for an overwhelming majority of our members.
“This ratification secures wage increases, healthcare and vacation improvements for another significant portion of our membership. I am proud of our TCU and BRC representatives and their continued hard work in making these agreements possible. This round of negotiations has been unique, leading to successful agreements for the majority of our membership ahead of the current contract’s expiration. Unfortunately, though, there are some Carriers we have not finalized agreements with yet. We expect that to change soon,” said Artie Maratea, TCU National President.
