On July 4, 1776, those who signed the Declaration of Independence proudly stated that all people are “created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” With these words, a new nation was formed which ensuring liberty and democracy would forever shape our history.
