AAR and ASLRAA Request the Nomination of Thomas Jayne to the RRB

In a joint letter to the President the Association of American Railroads (AAR) and the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) recommended Thomas Jayne to serve as member of the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB).

The letter states:

Dear Mr. President:

On behalf of the Association of American Railroads (AAR) and the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA), we hereby recommend Thomas Jayne for nomination to serve as a member of the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB), to replace Steven J. Anthony whose term expires this month. Established in 1937, the RRB performs the critically important function of administering retirement and disability benefits for railroad workers and their families. Mr. Jayne is a senior attorney with broad experience and expertise in railroad law, including the programs and governing provisions of the RRB, and is an outstanding candidate for this position…
