Hurricane Relief Available for TCU/IAM Members

Members helping members in times of need is a strong tradition in the Machinists union, and the recent string of snow, wind and rain storms across the East coast generated by Hurricane Sandy has caused widespread damage. TCU/IAM members adversely affected by severe weather like Hurricanes Sandy and Isaac, or other natural disasters, can get help from the IAM’s Disaster Relief Fund.

To apply, TCU members must obtain a disaster relief form from their Local Lodge or National Representative. The form can be faxed to the TCU National Secretary-Treasurers office at (301) 330-7664. Fax it here and we will take care of the rest. TCU National Representatives can answer any questions as well or an e-mail request can be sent to websteward@tcunion.org.

“Whenever disaster strikes, IAM members are there to help their fellow brothers and sisters,” said IAM Community Services Director Charlie Micallef. “We are ready to help our members who may have been impacted by this unprecedented storm.”

Administered by the IAM Community Services Department, the IAM Disaster Relief Fund relies solely on contributions from fellow IAM members and Lodges.
