On April 15th., 2011 TCU/IAM Local Lodge 861 member, and Financial Secretary-Treasurer, Shantell Berry and her family lost their home to a devastating fire. While everyone got out safely they only have the clothing they were wearing at the time the fire broke out. Their home was a complete loss.
The family is currently staying at a Red Cross provided hotel, but that lodging is only a temporary measure. It is yet to be determined if there was home insurance that will help the family recover from the loss.
TCU/IAM President Bob Scardelletti is sending out the call; a TCU member is in need and can use our immediate assistance, particularly with contributions of used or new clothing for Shantell and her children. The children’s ages and sizes are: age 16 female, (size 8 adult), age 9 female, (size 16 kid’s size), age 7 male, (size 10) & age 5 male, (size 8).
Please contact Lodge 861 Local Chairman Brian Sawyer at sebs25@yahoo.com if you wish to help out in any way, with donations being sent to (please make checks payable to Shantell Berry):
