The Transportation for America Coalition, which includes TCU/IAM, sent a letter to Senate majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) asking him to lend his leadership and pass the Transportation Preservation Act. This infusion of $2 billion in transit operating funding will preserve service for the millions of Americans who rely on transit every day, as well as save and create thousands of jobs.
This funding would help TCU members across the country in locations like MTA in New York, NJ Transit, METRA in Chicago, SEPTA in Philadelphia, Orange County and LACMTA in California as well as all other public transportation agencies across the country.
“TCU is pleased that Congress is working to help the hard working men and women in this country,” said TCU International President Bob Scardelletti. “This legislation needs the full support of congressional leadership. This goes to show us all that our vote can make a difference.”
