Continuing the string of labor friendly appointments, UTU Associate General Counsel Daniel R. Elliott III was sworn in August 13, as Chainman of the U.S. Surface Transportation Board (STB).
“TCU looks forward to working with Chairman Elliott, we are pleased to have someone from labor appointed to this position,” said TCU National Legislative Director Robert Davis.
“I would like to thank President Obama for honoring me with this appointment,” Elliott said. “It is an honor to serve and I look forward to briskly moving forward and working closely with my fellow Board members.”
Elliott follows FRA Administrator Joe Szabo, former UTU Illinois State Legislative Director, as important members of the administration that have ties in labor.
