Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) employees ratified the new agreement, recently negotiated by TCU, by an overwhelming 4 to 1 margin.
The contract provides 11.5% in general wage increases, beginning with a 1.5% increase this November 7 and varying increases from 1% to 3.5% running through 2014. The contract also includes a lump sum for back pay as well as expanded benefits in medical, clothing allowances and vacation provisions.
TCU International Representative Lawrence Jones said this is, “Good news for everyone on SEPTA.”
