A TCU Member and ARASA Division Supervisor was shot in the left leg inside his truck at the Sunnyside Yard in Queens just after 8 a.m. on Thursday March 28th. Another employee was also in the truck but not injured.
The TCU supervisor and an unrelated employee got into a white SUV when the suspect opened fire at the SUV as it drove away.
The supervisor was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
“TCU is shocked to hear of the incident that happened today at the Sunnyside yard in New York,” said TCU President Bob Scardelletti. “We hope our member makes a speedy recovery…TCU National Representative Mike Miller visited our member in the hospital and offered whatever assistance he, or his family, may need during this trying time.”
