Only for members covered under the Railroad Employees National Health and Welfare Plan:
Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, an agreement was reached between the parties, Labor and Management, to allow members more time to submit documentation for the spouse audit under the Railroad Employees National Health and Welfare Plan, the Plan. The new deadline for submission is June 30, 2020. A letter will be sent to all non-responders or those who provided invalid documentation as of the date of the letter.
As of April 7, 2020, there are still over 10,890 railroad members who have NOT verified or provided valid documents to Railroad Enrollment Services. Over 650 TCU/IAM members have not complied.
Members who fail to respond or provide valid documentation, their spouse and any associated stepchildren will lose coverage under the medical, dental and vision plans.
It should be noted, that once valid documentation has been submitted and accepted, members will receive a confirmation letter from Railroad Enrollment Services.
TCU Members with questions or who have not received a confirmation letter need to immediately contact the Railroad Enrollment Services at 1-800-753-2692 for assistance.
